Brand View Premiumisation analysis enables your business to track the price difference between you and a competitor. The Premiumisation feature is available in the Daily Pricing, Pricing History and Strategic Pricing analysis.

Accessing Premiumisation

To access Premiumisation go into either Daily Pricing & Promotions, Pricing History or Strategic Pricing analysis.

In the selection window - click on 'View Filtering Options' to widen the selection options.

Under Price Measure select the benchmark from the list beneath Premiumisation to determine how premiumisation is assessed.

From here you can choose your benchmark, be it the average price of the retailer, the average price of the results*, a specific price point, a certain product, brand or manufacturer. Simply select the type of benchmark and the specific details of the benchmark below. e.g. the Brand you would like to benchmark against.

This will then, for example, allow you to track how much more premium Daz is to Persil. A great tool if your brand has price specific targets.

If you wish to see premiumisation trends over time we suggest using the Pricing History analysis as this is shown over time on the charts. Or, if you require more detail, it is also shown on the results table.

Choose the Granularity to further compare between Benchmarks.

Now click 'Analyse'.

You'll see the results table now displays all prices as premiumisation percentages based on the benchmark you selected.

Please note that when using the 'benchmark results' option this will be based on the average price of the results in your search. This can be varied by changing the attributes in your selection.
