Brand View not only collects promotional mechanics but also collects Promotional Location data showing you both the location type e.g. Gondola End, and the coordinates of the promotion in store. Helping your business understand what else was on promotion with your products.

To access this data click on' Locations' under the Promotional Filters section in a Promotional History query.

 The different coloured stars represent different promotional locations in store.

 Understanding aisle and row numbers

• Every promotion that has a location assigned also has promotional location coordinates to allow you to see where in store a promotion has taken place and what other products were on promotion with this product.
• These coordinates are show when you hover your mouse over a star or click on the promotional timeline.
• Using the promotional history timeline analysis you can pick a particular gondola to see what else was on promotion in the same place
• This diagram shows how Brand View calculate the promotions location in an average store.
• The aisle closest to the entrance to the store is known as aisle 1 and this will increase the further you to into the store.
• Brand View also collect data on the row within the store with the closest to the entrance being row A. As you go deeper into the store this increases.
• Other locations we collect are also shown in this diagram such as Entrance Bins and Seasonal Aisles. 

 Filtering by location

• When using the Promotional History Timeline you can filter the analysis to just see products in a specific location e.g. Gondola End.
• Products may be flagged as 'Gondola End' or 'Partly Gondola End'. 
• 'Partly Gondola End' will be shown if only part of the the time it was on promotion it was actually on a Gondola End and the rest of the time it was on a 'Shelf Talker'.
• To see what else has been promoted on the same gondola enter the Gondola End coordinates for that promotion. This is shown when you click on the timeline. e.g. Aisle 8, Row B.

The level of data shown is dependent on whether this is a service your company has purchased from Brand View, and the number of categories and retailers this is purchased for. Please speak to the contract owner or your Brand View representative for more details.
