How can the overall percentage price change of a brand be higher than the change in each individual category?

Each category, manufacturer or brand price change is calculated looking at the price chage of the individual SKU to ensure the most accurate analysis.

If for example a brand overall is seeing greater price change than the individual categories this is likely to be driven by a more premium category seeing a greater price change than less premium category. An example of this maybe where the price change on a Persil Capsule is greater than the price change on Persil Washing Up Liquid. As a result the overall brand will have seen a greater price change (as the price change has happened on more premium products).
